The satisfaction with the facilitation was 93%. Three participants received certificates of distinction, which means a score of 90% or more for the final test. These\u00a0were for Dr Justin Kocou Djidonou from Benin; Dr Adama Sanon from Burkina Faso and; Dr Nestor YOUGBARE from Burkina Faso.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>CONCLUSIONS<\/b><\/span><strong style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0for EACH of the PARTICIPATING\u00a0COUNTRIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2287\" style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sina-health.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Beach-Cotonou-e1428757327569.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2287\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2287\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sina-health.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Beach-Cotonou-e1428757327569.jpg\" alt=\"Beach Cotonou\" width=\"400\" height=\"306\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2287\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Beach Cotonou<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Niger<\/strong>\u00a0will start PBF in the health district of Boboye in Dosso region with technical support from the World Bank, which will cover a population of 400,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Participants&#8217; recommendations for Niger:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Authorities should\u00a0apply all PBF best practices in the pilot project;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The course group will inform and create awareness about PBF among the administrative authorities, local elected officials, partners, etc ;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The project should establish\u00a0a\u00a0Regional Contract Development and Contracting Agency instead of a central one;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The project should conduct the mapping of public and private health facilities in the pilot area and s<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ign contracts (primary and secondary) both\u00a0with public and private health facilities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Define the indicators for the community PBF activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Benin <\/strong>has performed reasonably well since 2012 with the pilot PBF programme by: (1) Improving the motivation of health staff; (2) Improving the professional quality of the health facilities; (3) Increasing the ownership for the peer group reviews among hospital staff; (4) By creating improved data availability at: <span style=\"color: #700000;\">http:\/\/www.beninfbr.org\/ <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Yet, the PBF program is not yet pure and the feasibility score is 58%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Participants&#8217; recommendations\u00a0for Benin:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sina-health.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ouday-sculpture-2-e1428757064303.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2290\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sina-health.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Ouday-sculpture-2-e1428757064303.jpg\" alt=\"Ouidah sculpture 2\" width=\"350\" height=\"255\" \/><\/a>Avoid the accumulation of functions at the central level and create more checks and balances;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Health facility\u00a0contracts should be signed\u00a0by Regional Contract Development and Verification Agencies\u00a0and not by the central level;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maintain at least 95% coverage for immunisation activities at the health facility and;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Respect vaccines conservation standards at the health facility.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Burkina Faso<\/strong>\u00a0started in 2010 a PBF pre-pilot in three health districts. The pilot was extended in 2014 towards 15 health districts covering with 4.2 million people 25% of the BF population. The results are satisfactory, but the feasibility scan score of 68%\u00a0could still be improved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Participants&#8217; recommendations\u00a0for Burkina Faso:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>To the Ministry of Health:<\/em> (1) Continue the expansion of PBF to all districts in the country; (2) Ensure the sustainability of the PBF strategy; (3) Ensure proper implementation of all PBF best practices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>To the partners:<\/em> (1) Provide more funding for PBF; (2) Assist Burkina Faso towards the upscaling\u00a0of PBF to all districts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The Cameroon &#8211; Far North Region.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Cordaid funded PBF pilot started in\u00a0January 2012 and has produced satisfactory results. The local Contract Development and Verification Agencies\u00a0is the Association for the Promotion of Health in the Far North (APROSEN). The feasibility scan shows a score of 66%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Participants&#8217; recommendations for Cameroon:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sina-health.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Hut-at-beach-e1428757096360.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2289\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sina-health.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Hut-at-beach-e1428757096360.jpg\" alt=\"Hut at Benin beach\" width=\"400\" height=\"279\" \/><\/a>Integrate the health facilities currently covered by Cordaid and APROSEN in the\u00a0PAISS \/ World Bank PBF program;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Develop emergency PBF indicators to respond to\u00a0the\u00a0insecurity in\u00a0the Far North caused by the Boko Haram insurgency;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Review and improve the PBF\u00a0equity\u00a0indicators to assist the\u00a0vulnerable;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Take into account that\u00a0the local CDV Agency (APROSEN) has already a good knowledge of the region.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Ivory Coast.<\/strong> The government and the World Bank plan to implement a PBF program for around 3.5 million inhabitants. Few private organizations in Ivory Coast are yet\u00a0involved in the various PBF functions.
