Description: Over several years, Liberia has engaged with PBF, in setting up two schemes. One for primary care, funded predominantly by USAID, and one for secondary care, which was in its pilot stages before the Ebola epidemic and receives funding from the World Bank. There is some overlap between the two schemes, but so far collaboration between the schemes has been weak. It is felt, however, that time has come to actively seek synergy between the two schemes and use the current post-ebola momentum to integrate efforts.
