Description: Cordaid started PBF in 2012 with EU financing a pilot PBF project in Congo Brazzaville, which drew the interest of the government and the World Bank.

From 2014 onwards, the government with World Bank support started to roll out PBF towards 86% of the country. A financial arrangement was made whereby 80% of the financing is from the government.

This PBF program was stopped by the Minister of Health in 2018 but it has been agreed to restart in 2019.
